Infosys, a global leader in next-generation digital services and consulting, introduced a suite of innovations for the Australian Open (AO) 2026, leveraging its generative and agentic AI platform, Infosys Topaz. Building on an eight-year collaboration with Tennis Australia, these cutting-edge solutions aim to enhance fan engagement, empower players and coaches, and expand digital accessibility in tennis. By combining technology and sports, Infosys and Tennis Australia are broadening the sport’s reach, improving both on-site and online experiences, and demonstrating responsible AI at scale.

Revolutionary Experiences for AO 2026

MatchFeel: Bringing Tennis to the Sense of Touch

Infosys has launched MatchFeel, an innovative accessibility solution that enables blind and visually impaired fans to experience live tennis through touch. By converting real-time ball and match data into tactile and haptic feedback, a magnetic ring traces ball movements across engraved court lines, while vibration patterns indicate speed and direction. This immersive experience, complemented by synced live commentary, allows fans to feel rallies as they happen. MatchFeel will debut as a pilot program for a select group of users at AO 2026.

Rally: The Interactive AI Mascot

Fans at the Infosys Fan Zone can meet Rally, a humanoid AI robot that offers safe, tennis-centered interactions. Powered by live AO 2026 scores, Rally entertains fans with features like Serve Me a Fortune for tennis-themed predictions, Selfie Mode for memorable photos, and Ask Rally, an interactive chat delivering match insights powered by the Infosys Win Predictor. With strict Responsible AI guardrails, Rally ensures content remains tennis-specific, movements are controlled, and all systems operate securely.

Keys to the Match: Simplifying Tennis Insights

Infosys also introduced Keys to the Match, an AI-powered tool providing fans with three key insights per player before each AO match. By analyzing rankings, head-to-head statistics, win probabilities, and strengths, the feature translates complex data into simple cues such as serve dominance, rally strategy, or clutch performance.

Enhanced AI Experiences for Fans and Players

Additional upgrades include:

  • Gen AI Stadium, enabling fans to create custom virtual courts using speech-to-image AI and play tennis in VR.
  • Infosys Match Centre, offering AI-powered commentary and real-time, context-aware narratives.
  • AI Shot of the Day, generating highlight videos, while AI video analytics delivers advanced insights for players and coaches.
