MetAI, a Taiwan-based startup and proud member of NVIDIA’s Inception program, is actively transforming the future of industrial and physical AI by developing cutting-edge AI-powered simulation environments. To accelerate simulation-driven AI development, MetAI integrates NVIDIA Omniverse technologies most notably the NVIDIA USD Search microservices into its digital twin generation platform called MetGen. This integration empowers users to create fully immersive 3D SimReady environments from simple 2D CAD blueprints, starting with a focus on the warehousing industry.
MetGen, the core engine behind MetAI’s SimReady environment generation, converts standardized 2D CAD files and structured data into high-precision, operational digital twins. These digital twins are immediately usable for a variety of applications including AI training, robotics testing, automation logic optimization, and synthetic data production. Thanks to the addition of NVIDIA USD Search, users can now effortlessly search and retrieve standardized SimReady assets from linked libraries. This improvement dramatically reduces the time required to build simulation environments while boosting scalability.

Daniel Yu, MetAI’s Co-founder and CEO, explained, “We are creating the essential infrastructure to train the next generation of industrial and physical AI, starting from layout blueprints to ready-to-use SimReady assets. By embedding NVIDIA USD Search, we offer a closed-loop workflow where users generate assets with MetGen, build searchable libraries, and instantly access components to simplify simulation development. This approach shortens setup times and unlocks scalable, intelligent environment creation.”
The integration has successfully passed validation and is currently undergoing pilot deployment. Among its key features are seamless conversion of 2D CAD layout blocks into searchable metadata, automatic retrieval of matching 3D assets from connected USD libraries, and the generation of missing assets through MetGen’s internal pipeline. Looking ahead, MetAI plans to integrate agentic AI tools that will enable intelligent, interactive scene construction, further enhancing simulation capabilities.
