According to a new report by Information Services Group (ISG), a global AI-driven technology research and advisory firm, AWS’s local presence is reshaping the country’s technology landscape and boosting enterprise innovation.
The 2025 ISG Provider Lens AWS Ecosystem Partners report for Mexico reveals that the launch of three AWS availability zones has significantly advanced Mexico’s digital economy. This local infrastructure allows businesses to enhance performance, ensure data compliance, and foster innovation while meeting Mexico’s legal and data residency requirements. The development marks a turning point for organizations in sectors ranging from finance to manufacturing, as they increasingly invest in cloud-native technologies to achieve greater agility, resilience, and cost efficiency.

“AWS’ local expansion will continue the technology transformation under way in Mexico’s enterprises and talent pool,” said Anay Nawathe, ISG cloud delivery lead for the Americas. “It provides strong local infrastructure to scale AI initiatives, strengthen operations and comply with evolving regulations.”
Mexican companies are shifting from basic cloud migration to full modernization, the report highlights. Many organizations are replacing outdated legacy systems with agile, cloud-native frameworks built on solutions such as Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) and DevOps automation. This evolution enables them to adapt swiftly to market and regulatory shifts while supporting long-term innovation.
Furthermore, the report notes that the adoption of generative AI (GenAI) is rapidly expanding across industries. Leveraging AWS tools like Amazon Bedrock and its Titan and Nova foundation models, enterprises are automating workflows, enhancing decision-making, and improving customer experiences. Early adopters have already reported measurable boosts in efficiency and productivity, while others continue refining AI models to unlock sustained value.
The financial sector, particularly banks and fintechs, has been one of the biggest beneficiaries of AWS’s local infrastructure. Access to secure, high-performance cloud services has strengthened data sovereignty, compliance, and operational reliability, while also spurring innovation in digital financial services.

ISG also observes that Mexican enterprises are increasingly adopting multicloud strategies to achieve greater scalability and cost optimization. Large corporations are blending AWS with other public cloud providers to enhance flexibility and negotiate better pricing. However, many midsize firms still prefer single-cloud environments to reduce complexity and management costs.
“Enterprises in Mexico are building a modern, intelligent foundation for the future,” said Adriana Frantz, lead author of the report. “The combination of GenAI and cloud-native modernization is reshaping industries, creating new opportunities and redefining operational efficiency.”
The report further explores trends such as the rise of FinOps for cost control and the growing emphasis on Zero Trust security frameworks to safeguard expanding cloud ecosystems. It also evaluates 37 leading providers in Mexico’s AWS ecosystem across four key areas Professional Services, Managed Services, Enterprise Data Modernization and AI Services, and SAP Workloads. Among these, Accenture and Rackspace Technology emerged as Leaders in all four quadrants, underscoring their strong regional influence in driving cloud innovation.
Ultimately, ISG’s latest findings highlight how Mexico’s enterprises are strategically leveraging AWS capabilities to power AI-driven growth, strengthen compliance, and accelerate digital transformation on a national scale.
