European organizations are increasingly prioritizing adaptable partnerships backed by strong governance frameworks as they prepare to fully leverage artificial intelligence while meeting strict regulatory requirements under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the EU AI Act. According to experts from the global AI-focused research and advisory firm Information Services Group (ISG), enterprises across the continent are restructuring their data and compliance strategies to adapt to the evolving regulatory landscape.
To support this shift, major industry leaders such as Airbus, Dassault Systèmes, Thales Global Services, L’Oréal, Schneider Electric, Air Liquide, Shell International, Adecco Holding France, Crédit Agricole, Bureau Veritas, Cigref, BNP Paribas and UEFA will gather at the ISG AI Impact Summit taking place on December 8–9 in Paris. The two-day event at Les Jardins de Saint-Dominique will focus on practical strategies for structuring data, establishing compliant frameworks and designing long-term AI roadmaps capable of driving sustainable transformation.

Highlighting Europe’s unique leadership position, Julien Escribe, ISG partner and managing director for the SEMEA region, emphasized the continent’s balanced approach to innovation, saying, “Europe stands at the forefront of defining how technology can serve the public good. Through initiatives such as the EU AI Act, the Digital Europe Program and the European Data Strategy, the EU has laid the groundwork for a distinctive approach to innovation one that combines competitiveness with accountability, and progress with protection of fundamental rights.”
The summit will open with a keynote from Dr. Greg Ombach, senior vice president and head of disruptive research at Airbus. He will address how organizations can shift from pilot programs to real impact by embedding AI into products, operations and business models. His presentation, titled “From AI to Regenerative Intelligence – Building Smarter Sustainable Systems,” will set the tone for discussions on value-driven AI adoption.
Furthermore, the panel “Data Foundations for Scalable AI: Where Strategy Meets ROI” will bring together leaders from Dassault Systèmes, Thales Global Services and BNP Paribas Asset Management to share practical frameworks, market insights and investment strategies. Another panel, “AI in Action: Real Results, Real Impact,” will feature executives from L’Oréal, Schneider Electric and To Web Or Not To Web, who will discuss methods to extract measurable business value from AI deployments.

As Escribe noted, “Enterprises in Europe are seeking full transparency and control over AI behavior, especially in regulated sectors such as finance, healthcare and energy, to meet data governance and compliance requirements that demand transparency, auditability and strict access controls.” He added that when deployed responsibly, AI tools can both mitigate risks and deliver powerful capabilities for anomaly detection and data analysis.
The summit will conclude with insights from UEFA’s Édouard Couté on leading responsibly through AI-related risks, highlighting how strategic leadership can convert uncertainty into competitive advantage.
