Government leaders also emphasized the national significance of this alliance. Bae Kyung-hoon, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and ICT of South Korea, stated, “For Korea to leap forward as a leading nation in AI, the advancement of physical AI is essential a key initiative championed by the Ministry of Science and ICT… By combining Korea’s rich manufacturing data with NVIDIA’s cutting-edge AI infrastructure, we expect to build a win-win model through collaboration with domestic companies, thereby accelerating innovative AI transformation in manufacturing across industries.”

At the heart of this initiative lies Hyundai’s NVIDIA Blackwell-based AI factory, which will integrate AI innovation across vehicle design, automation, and robotics. NVIDIA’s compute platforms DGX, Omniverse, Cosmos, and DRIVE AGX Thor will collectively serve as the backbone for physical AI and robotics development. These technologies will enable large-scale model training, simulation through digital twins, and real-time AI processing in vehicles and robots.

Furthermore, Hyundai will utilize NVIDIA Omniverse Enterprise to create digital twins of manufacturing facilities, ensuring more efficient production, predictive maintenance, and faster robot integration. The company is also exploring humanoid and robotic simulations using NVIDIA Isaac Sim, further enhancing safety and productivity in factory environments.

In the realm of autonomous driving, Hyundai is leveraging NVIDIA’s Omniverse, Cosmos, and RTX PRO Server platforms to simulate real-world driving conditions and improve scalability. The automaker is also building advanced AI models with NVIDIA Nemotron and NVIDIA NeMo software to deliver over-the-air (OTA) updates, adaptive comfort systems, and personalized in-vehicle assistants.

By transforming vehicles and factories into an interconnected AI ecosystem, Hyundai Motor Group and NVIDIA are setting a new global standard for the automotive industry, merging intelligence, performance, and innovation into every layer of production and mobility.
