Hyperscale Data, Inc., a diversified holding company, announced that it has started converting part of its Michigan Data Center into additional capacity dedicated to artificial intelligence (AI) solutions. By taking this step, the company is actively advancing its strategy to serve both the blockchain and AI markets under one roof.
To accelerate the initiative, Hyperscale Data has already placed equipment orders and initiated construction on areas of the Michigan Facility that will be allocated for AI operations. This early progress demonstrates the company’s commitment to meeting the surging demand for advanced computing infrastructure.

Located on a 34.5-acre site, the Michigan Facility currently operates with approximately 28 megawatts of power and houses a 617,000-square-foot data center building. Thanks to its scale and flexible design, the facility can simultaneously support Bitcoin mining and AI-driven computing. This dual-use approach reflects a proven model where blockchain infrastructure and AI workloads coexist efficiently.
At present, Hyperscale Data runs 16 servers powered by NVIDIA graphics processing units in a dedicated data hall. These servers will remain operational throughout the site’s upgrades, ensuring seamless continuity. In addition, the company has begun preparations to integrate the latest NVIDIA Blackwell servers as part of a phased buildout. Importantly, Bitcoin mining operations will continue without interruption, allowing the company to maintain steady revenue while scaling into AI.

Highlighting the company’s long-term vision, William Horne, Chief Executive Officer of Hyperscale Data, stated, “Our Michigan Facility is well positioned for growth. With 34.5 acres and more than 600,000 square feet of capacity, we can both maintain our Bitcoin mining operations and deploy next-generation NVIDIA Blackwell systems. This first phase of the conversion underscores our vision of building one of the leading dual-use AI and blockchain compute facilities in the United States.”
Furthermore, the company’s move aligns with broader industry trends. Across the digital infrastructure sector, data centers are evolving from single-purpose blockchain mining sites into multi-layered hubs for enterprise technology. By leveraging its extensive footprint, favorable location, and technical expertise, Hyperscale Data aims to deliver secure and scalable compute power tailored for enterprises, AI-driven workloads, and blockchain ecosystems.
With this expansion, Hyperscale Data not only strengthens its competitive position but also underscores its role in shaping the future of AI and blockchain convergence in the United States.
