In a significant move to strengthen global AI governance, G42 and Credo AI have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to advance Responsible AI adoption across the Global South. The agreement was formalized on the sidelines of the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi, where global policymakers, innovators, and industry leaders gathered to accelerate AI’s real-world impact.

As artificial intelligence adoption continues to surge worldwide, both organizations recognize that Responsible AI must go beyond high-level principles. Instead, they aim to embed governance directly into operational systems especially in regions where regulatory landscapes, institutional maturity, and societal priorities vary widely. Through this MoU, G42 and Credo AI intend to develop scalable, adaptable governance frameworks tailored to emerging markets.

Importantly, both companies believe innovation and governance must evolve together.

“AI innovation and AI governance must advance together,” said Dr. Andrew Jackson, Group Chief AI Officer at G42. “When trust is engineered into the system from the start, innovation accelerates, deployment is smoother and adoption happens faster at scale. Building on G42’s experience of deploying AI at a national and global scale, this partnership with Credo AI is about accelerating trusted AI so innovation can move faster, adoption can be responsible, and AI can deliver meaningful impact across economies and societies.”

Similarly, Credo AI emphasized the growing need for measurable governance as enterprises scale AI initiatives.

“Enterprises scaling AI need more than ambition they need speed with control, and governance they can measure,” said Navrina Singh, CEO of Credo AI. “Our partnership with G42 gives organizations across the Middle East and Global South the capability to deploy AI faster, govern it at scale, and turn responsible adoption into genuine competitive advantage. This matters even more as AI becomes agentic. When your AI is making autonomous decisions, the enterprises that govern it best will be the ones that deploy it furthest and fastest.”

Over the years, G42 has strengthened its Responsible AI leadership through initiatives such as launching the Responsible AI Future Foundation with Microsoft, introducing its Frontier AI Safety Framework, and contributing to global commitments including the Frontier AI Safety Commitments, the WEF AI Governance Alliance, and the Bletchley Declaration. Additionally, the company published its Responsible AI Transparency Report and Responsible AI Compendium, demonstrating how it operationalizes trusted AI practices.

Meanwhile, Credo AI, which pioneered the AI Governance category in 2020, has built the industry’s first continuous, contextual AI governance platform. The company also maintains the largest repository of codified AI policies, risk controls, and regulatory mappings. Today, Fortune 500 enterprises use Credo AI’s platform to align governance with major frameworks such as the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and ISO/IEC 42001. Furthermore, the company actively collaborates with policymakers across the U.S., Europe, and Asia to advance practical AI oversight models.

Looking ahead, the partnership will focus on designing actionable governance frameworks, implementing advanced risk monitoring tools, and launching education initiatives to equip policymakers and professionals with practical Responsible AI capabilities.

Ultimately, this collaboration directly supports the India AI Impact Summit’s mission to translate AI breakthroughs into tangible outcomes that benefit diverse global populations.
