Fujitsu Limited has unveiled a groundbreaking multi-AI agent collaboration technology designed to enable secure cooperation and rapid adaptability among AI agents from different companies and vendors within a supply chain. By harnessing this innovation, Fujitsu plans to initiate field trials in January 2026 to optimize the supply chain operations of Rohto Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., in partnership with the Institute of Science Tokyo (Science Tokyo). This advancement not only streamlines everyday supply chain activities but also ensures quick recovery during emergencies, such as sudden demand fluctuations or natural disasters.

Furthermore, Fujitsu aims to play a pivotal role in the new industry promotion initiatives of the Council on Competitiveness-Nippon (COCN). The company seeks to establish AI spaces that allow secure data and AI collaboration across companies, ultimately enhancing the competitiveness of Japanese industry through agentic AI.

To achieve this, Fujitsu will continue advancing demonstrations and refining technology alongside Science Tokyo and Rohto Pharmaceutical. The company envisions expanding the application of this technology across various industries, including manufacturing. Additionally, Fujitsu intends to develop solutions for more complex and extensive supply chains, with plans to offer these capabilities through its Uvance business model’s Dynamic Supply Chain services by the end of fiscal 2026. By doing so, Fujitsu aims to provide companies with a fresh perspective on supply chain strategy, enhancing resilience and supporting sustainable business operations.

Under the Uvance model, Fujitsu will leverage the insights gained from these trials to enable secure data collaboration via AI agent cooperation across borders and sectors. This approach is expected to strengthen supply chain resilience, foster sustainable industrial growth, and ensure reliability and governance in multi-vendor environments.
