Dell Technologies, the world’s leading AI infrastructure provider, has unveiled major advancements to its Dell AI Data Platform, empowering enterprises to transform distributed and siloed data into faster, more reliable AI-driven outcomes.
“AI is transforming industries and its success depends on unlocking the full potential of enterprise data. The Dell AI Data Platform is purpose-built to simplify data complexity, unify pipelines and deliver AI-ready data at scale,” said Arthur Lewis, president, Infrastructure Solutions Group, Dell Technologies.
As organizations accelerate AI adoption and data volumes surge, they require a platform that can securely convert fragmented information into actionable insights. Dell AI Data Platform, a central element of the Dell AI Factory, provides an open, modular foundation to generate value from scattered data silos. By separating data storage from processing, the platform removes bottlenecks and offers the flexibility essential for AI workloads such as training, fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and inferencing.

Integrated with NVIDIA AI Data Platform reference design, the platform relies on four core components: storage engines for smart data placement, data engines to extract insights, built-in cyber resiliency, and comprehensive data management services. Together, they provide a scalable, flexible foundation for organizations to fully harness AI.
Dell PowerScale and Dell ObjectScale, the platform’s storage engines, deliver high-performance, secure, and multi-protocol access for AI workloads. PowerScale simplifies network-attached storage while supporting AI pipelines at scale. Recent integrations with NVIDIA GB200 and GB300 NVL72 and ongoing software updates enhance reliability, compatibility, and efficiency. The PowerScale F710, certified by NVIDIA Cloud Partner (NCP), supports 16k+ GPU scale with up to 5X less rack space, 88% fewer network switches, and 72% lower power consumption compared to competitors.
ObjectScale offers highly performant, scalable S3-native object storage, now available as an appliance or software-defined option on Dell PowerEdge servers, achieving up to 8X faster performance than previous all-flash generations. New improvements, including S3 over RDMA, deliver up to 230% higher throughput, 80% lower latency, and 98% lower CPU usage. Enhanced AWS S3 integration and bucket-level compression further enable efficient large-scale data management.
Dell has also expanded its AI data engines in collaboration with NVIDIA, Elastic, and Starburst. The Data Search Engine, built with Elastic, allows natural-language interactions with data, optimizing RAG and generative AI workflows. The Data Analytics Engine, developed with Starburst, provides seamless querying across databases, cloud warehouses, and spreadsheets. Its new Agentic Layer leverages LLMs to automate insights, embed AI in SQL workflows, and unify access to vector stores.
