Teleskope, a pioneer in redefining data security for the AI age, has raised $25 million in Series A funding led by M13, with continued backing from Primary Venture Partners and Lerer Hippeau. With this new capital, the company plans to accelerate growth, enhance its product capabilities, and scale go-to-market operations. This funding brings Teleskope’s total investment to $32.2 million, underscoring investor confidence in its vision and technology.

As enterprises increasingly adopt AI, the challenge of managing fragmented and unsecured data has grown exponentially. A staggering 74% of organizations identify data security as their biggest hurdle in AI adoption. However, with budget constraints affecting nearly half of security teams and a global shortage of five million cybersecurity professionals, traditional data protection methods no longer suffice. Most legacy tools only detect standard personally identifiable information (PII) and flood teams with thousands of low-value alerts that lack actionable insights.

Recognizing these limitations, Teleskope developed the industry’s first agentic data security platform, which functions like a human security team at scale. The platform autonomously discovers, classifies, and protects sensitive data across cloud, SaaS, and hybrid environments. It not only applies company-specific policies but also interprets context and executes real-time remediation. This allows enterprises to operate as if they have a fully embedded, round-the-clock data security team.

“When I was a security engineer at Airbnb, I faced the challenge of cataloging and classifying hundreds of petabytes of data across dozens of platforms, and the tools we used simply couldn’t keep up,” said Elizabeth Nammour, CEO and Founder of Teleskope. “That experience showed me what was possible if we built a platform that thinks and acts like a human security team. With this new funding, we’re taking Teleskope to the next level: giving enterprises a fully agentic platform that can automatically detect, contextualize, and remediate risk, so they can confidently adopt AI and protect their data at scale.”

At its core, Teleskope’s platform features a multi-stage classification pipeline powered by lightweight machine learning models. These models channel data to specialized AI engines that validate findings through contextual analysis. The platform continuously identifies misconfigurations, aligns them with major compliance standards such as NIST, GDPR, and CIS, and enforces security at the infrastructure level helping organizations mitigate risks before they escalate.

“Teleskope has completely changed how we approach data security,” said Lock Langdon, Chief Information Security Officer at Aprio, LLP. “We’re using it not just for comprehensive data security posture management, but also to manage data retention. For the first time, we have a platform that not only finds sensitive data across our systems but also understands context and takes action automatically. It feels like having a full data management team embedded in our environment, giving us confidence to innovate while keeping our data protected.”

To further strengthen its leadership, Teleskope has appointed Karl Alomar, Managing Partner at M13, to its board of directors. Alomar, who previously scaled DigitalOcean into a successful public company, brings a wealth of operational and strategic experience.

“AI is transforming the data and infrastructure environment that businesses live within, introducing new risks and increasingly sophisticated attacks,” said Alomar. “Teleskope fills a key component of controls needed to help secure sensitive data and does so with a far better user experience and remediation capabilities than anything else in the market. We could not be more excited about Lizzy, who combines deep technical expertise with strong business sensibility and has already built an impressive team and product. We believe Teleskope is uniquely positioned to become the category leader in agentic data security.”

With this new round of funding, Teleskope is poised to reshape enterprise data protection, empowering organizations to adopt AI securely and confidently while maintaining full control over their sensitive information.
