Wing VC led the round, while Stripe, Box Group, and Exceptional Capital also joined as investors. The platform is built on Chronon, an open-source data engine created by Zipline’s co-founders, Varant Zanoyan and Nikhil Simha Raprolu. Both leaders created Chronon while spearheading Airbnb’s AI data platform team. Today, Chronon is co-owned by Airbnb and Stripe and is already being used by major companies like Netflix, Uber, Roku, and OpenAI.
Highlighting the company’s mission, Varant Zanoyan, Co-founder of Zipline AI, explained: “Building AI systems is still a long and complicated process for most companies.
