SMX, a recognized leader in technology and mission-focused solutions, has officially launched a groundbreaking pilot program under the Long-Range Enterprise Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (LEIA) Task Order. Partnering with Google Public Sector and World Wide Technology (WWT), SMX is bringing next-generation artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and digital productivity tools directly into operational theaters a first-of-its-kind milestone for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).
Through this pilot, SMX and its partners are deploying Google AI Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology, Google Translate, and advanced machine learning models to transform defense workflows. These tools will not only modernize communication but also accelerate decision-making at the tactical edge. A core achievement of the program includes establishing a mission-aligned operations center, designed to operationalize these technologies in support of mission command and critical C2 (command and control) workflows.
