Korea-based Schaffengott, a leading developer of AI- and IoT-driven disaster safety solutions, is accelerating its European growth by establishing a joint venture in the Czech Republic. This strategic move positions the country as a hub for regional expansion and innovation in smart safety technologies.
In 2023, Schaffengott partnered with UTP Czech s.r.o. to form TRITONA UTP GLOBAL, a joint venture dedicated to localizing and commercializing advanced disaster safety solutions for the European market. The collaboration focuses on tailoring products to meet regional standards while supporting deployment in countries actively investing in smart city infrastructure and modern safety systems.

The joint venture benefits from an overseas expansion program supported by the Korean Ministry of Science and ICT in partnership with the Global Digital Innovation Network (GDIN). GDIN provides structured guidance for technology companies entering global markets, including assistance with localization, regulatory compliance, and strategic market positioning.
Schaffengott’s solutions are built on a foundation of data-driven disaster prevention. The company develops integrated safety systems that combine artificial intelligence, IoT sensors, hardware devices, and centralized monitoring platforms. This approach ensures early risk detection, real-time data analysis, and rapid response across fire safety, evacuation, and emergency scenarios.
Among the flagship offerings introduced through the Czech joint venture is TRITONA, an AI-enabled smart fire extinguisher designed for immediate deployment during emergencies. Unlike traditional extinguishers, TRITONA contains a liquid fire-suppression capsule that can be thrown directly at a fire, enabling rapid containment while keeping evacuation routes safe. The device integrates thermal and intrusion sensors, while AI algorithms analyze environmental data to detect anomalies and generate alerts.
Schaffengott’s broader portfolio includes INNER TAP, a fire suppression and smoke control system; YEGA/YEWIE, emergency glass-breaking devices for vehicles and buildings; OCTAGON, an emergency lighting and evacuation guidance solution; and M2, a fixed and portable AI-connected multi-purpose disaster safety platform. Collectively, these solutions form a comprehensive ecosystem, gathering and analyzing disaster-related data through a centralized control interface.

Initially targeting public-sector and institutional projects, Schaffengott has built credibility in a traditionally cautious market, securing more than 1,500 references worldwide, including installations with international organizations and major public institutions. Now, the company is extending its reach into private-sector deployments.
Through its Czech joint venture, Schaffengott is actively working with local partners on product customization and commercial discussions, including preliminary supply quotations for Czech fire safety and infrastructure companies.
CEO Ik Hwan Kwon stated, “The joint venture in the Czech Republic enables close cooperation with local partners and alignment with regional requirements. We aim to contribute to safer cities through practical, data-driven solutions.”
Looking ahead, Schaffengott plans to develop its Czech operations as a central hub for European and global expansion, advancing its vision of a comprehensive disaster safety and data services platform aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
