Now, over four decades later, we have undertaken an ambitious project to dissect and rebuild this groundbreaking advertisement using modern AI-driven creative tools.

How We Rebuilt a Legend with AI

Our process involved a combination of AI-driven creativity and traditional visual techniques to bring the 1984 ad into 2025:

• VLC Media Player – Used to analyze and isolate key moments, frame by frame.

• ChatGPT – Reverse-engineered the original aesthetic and guided prompt creation for AI-generated visuals.

• MidJourney & RunwayML – AI-generated images, refining the dystopian setting and key elements of the scene.

• LumaLabs & RunwayML – Brought static images to life through AI-powered animation.

• Photoshop (Generative AI) – Seamlessly integrated elements, constructing pivotal shots like the rebel running in the aisle.

In true homage to Apple’s original message, we reimagined the final claim of the ad to reflect the new technological revolution—Artificial General Intelligence (AGI):
