RealSense, Inc., a global leader in robotic perception, has announced a strategic collaboration with NVIDIA to enhance the adoption and capabilities of physical AI across humanoids and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). By integrating RealSense’s cutting-edge AI depth cameras with NVIDIA’s advanced robotics platforms, the partnership aims to transform how developers bring next-generation robots from prototype to production. The initiative leverages the NVIDIA Jetson Thor Series for robot run-time computing, NVIDIA Isaac Sim for digital twins, and the NVIDIA Holoscan Sensor Bridge for ultra-low-latency sensor streaming.
“This initiative cements RealSense’s role as the perception platform of choice for AMRs and humanoids,” said Nadav Orbach, CEO of RealSense.

Technology Advancements Driving Robotics Forward
At the heart of this collaboration is the new RealSense D555 depth camera, which introduces the v5 Vision Processor and on-chip Power over Ethernet (PoE). This camera supports native NVIDIA Holoscan Sensor Bridge streaming and on-camera neural networks, enabling advanced image post-processing. Its ruggedized design, global shutter, IMU, and native ROS 2 support provide high-fidelity perception data for humanoid robotics and a range of other autonomous applications.
Complementing this, NVIDIA Jetson Thor, powered by the Blackwell GPU and featuring 128GB of memory, delivers up to 2070 FP4 teraflops of AI compute. The system efficiently runs the latest generative AI models within a 130-watt power envelope. Compared to the previous Jetson Orin, Jetson Thor achieves 7.5x higher AI compute and 3.5x greater energy efficiency, empowering developers to handle complex AI workloads seamlessly.

By combining RealSense’s perception technology with Jetson Thor’s computational power, the collaboration helps robotics developers shorten time to market, explore new applications, and scale safely into production. Native integration ensures optimal perception performance, delivering high-fidelity sensor data and processing speeds crucial for next-generation humanoids and autonomous machines.
“This initiative cements RealSense’s role as the perception platform of choice for AMRs and humanoids,” added Orbach. “By providing native integration and performance optimizations with NVIDIA Thor and Holoscan Sensor Bridge, we are accelerating the mainstream adoption of physical AI. Together, we are enabling the robotics industry to unlock the extraordinary potential of physical AI and drive the future of intelligent machines.”
Through this collaboration, developers can now stream true depth and image data directly into NVIDIA Isaac Sim, utilize validated system architectures optimized for Jetson Thor, and integrate RealSense depth perception with Holoscan Sensor Bridge for real-time sensor fusion. With the robotics market poised to become a multi-trillion-dollar industry, RealSense and NVIDIA are positioning themselves at the forefront of the next wave of innovation in intelligent machines.
