Global digital manufacturing leader Protolabs has announced the appointment of Marc Kermisch as its new Chief Technology and AI Officer, effective Monday, October 13, 2025. In this role, Kermisch will oversee Protolabs’ global technology organization, succeeding former CTO Oleg Ryaboy, who recently departed the company.

Kermisch brings more than 25 years of senior executive experience across technology and R&D functions in manufacturing, software, and retail industries. He most recently served as CTO at Emergent Software, a full-stack technology company specializing in software development, cloud transformation, AI, and data engineering solutions. Prior to that, he was Global Chief Digital and Information Officer at Case New Holland, a $20 billion manufacturer of agricultural and construction equipment, where he focused on autonomous vehicles, precision farming applications, and electric powertrains.

Additionally, Kermisch has held executive leadership positions at Optum Rx, Bluestem Brands, and Red Wing Shoe Company. He currently serves on the Boards of American AgCredit and Crew Carwash, further demonstrating his extensive experience in guiding large-scale organizations through technology-led transformations.
