Nuro, Inc., a recognized leader in autonomous driving technology, has successfully closed its Series E funding round with $203 million, boosting its valuation to $6 billion. The round brought in new investors such as Uber, Icehouse Ventures, Kindred Ventures, NVIDIA, and Pledge Ventures, along with the continued support of returning investor Baillie Gifford.

This latest infusion includes an additional $97 million, which follows the earlier $106 million tranche announced in April 2025. Back then, some of the biggest supporters came from funds managed by T. Rowe Price Associates, Fidelity Management & Research Company, Tiger Global Management, Greylock Partners, and XN.

By securing this funding milestone, Nuro strengthens its mission to bring self-driving technology to every road and every ride. The capital will be strategically used to expand Nuro’s AI-driven autonomous systems and scale its commercial partnerships across multiple industries.

Nuro makes its Nuro Driver autonomous driving system available to automakers and mobility service providers, helping them bring self-driving technology to their vehicles and services. This technology offers an efficient and cost-effective pathway to integrate autonomy into commercial fleets, ride-hailing platforms, and personal vehicles.

Highlighting the company’s momentum, Dave Ferguson, Co-Founder and President of Nuro, said:
“The closing of our Series E reinforces the strong conviction our investors and strategic partners have in Nuro’s technology, our scalable approach to commercialization, and our vision for the future of autonomy. With this new capital, we’re well-positioned to continue our next phase of growth, which will see us focus on delivering new commercial partnerships to realize autonomy at global scale.”

Strengthening Industry Partnerships

Nuro’s strong presence in the autonomous vehicle ecosystem continues to expand through partnerships with leading global players. For example, the company deepened its collaboration with NVIDIA, not only as a technology partner but now also as an investor. Nuro’s latest compute module is powered by the NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor platform, while NVIDIA GPUs support large-scale cloud data processing and model training. Additionally, Nuro joined the NVIDIA Halos AI Systems Inspection Lab in June to further validate safe integration of its technology.

In July, Nuro teamed up with Lucid and Uber for a next-gen robotaxi service. This initiative plans to deploy more than 20,000 Lucid vehicles equipped with Nuro Driver technology across dozens of global markets, beginning with a major U.S. city next year. Uber also tied its investment to a set of development and commercial milestones, portions of which are reflected in this Series E round.

Looking Ahead

So far, Nuro has raised over $2.3b in funding. With nine years of intensive development and five years of real-world deployments across multiple states, the company remains among the select few that have operated autonomous vehicles at city scale without a safety driver.

As the global race toward autonomy accelerates, Nuro stands positioned to play a defining role in shaping the future of mobility through scalable, AI-first solutions.
