NTT DATA, a global leader in AI, digital business, and technology services, has announced a multi-year Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS), marking a significant step toward accelerating enterprise modernization and responsible AI adoption. Through this collaboration, both organizations aim to help enterprises modernize legacy systems, deploy agentic AI at scale, and drive innovation across regulated and high-growth industries.
By bringing together NTT DATA’s deep expertise in cloud transformation, cloud-native modernization, and agentic AI with the scale, reliability, and innovation velocity of AWS, the alliance will deliver tailored enterprise-grade solutions. As a result, organizations will be able to modernize mission-critical workloads, establish secure and compliant cloud foundations, and achieve measurable business outcomes.

Under the agreement, NTT DATA and AWS will focus on four strategic priority areas. First, they will accelerate AI-driven, large-scale cloud transformation by migrating and modernizing on-premises workloads on AWS. This approach will leverage generative and agentic AI, automation, and advanced data platforms to enable intelligent operations and unlock new business models.
In addition, the collaboration will deliver industry-specific cloud solutions on AWS. By leveraging NTT DATA’s Industry Cloud platform which includes more than 500 extensible business components and AI agents the companies will offer repeatable solutions for sectors such as financial services, healthcare, life sciences, public sector, manufacturing, retail, and energy.
Furthermore, both organizations will drive AI and data innovation for modern managed services and enhanced client experiences. Notably, a recent collaboration to modernize contact center solutions on Amazon Connect will help accelerate the global adoption of AI-powered customer experience (CX) solutions. At the same time, the partnership will address digital sovereignty needs through regulated cloud solutions on the AWS European Sovereign Cloud. As a launch partner, NTT DATA will deliver sovereign-by-design cloud and managed services that meet strict data residency and operational autonomy requirements while maintaining AWS-level security, performance, and availability.
To support faster adoption, AWS will also collaborate with NTT DATA on co-innovation programs, certifications, and client events. Meanwhile, NTT DATA has established a dedicated AWS Business Group aligned with AWS sales and delivery teams. This group already includes nearly 11,000 AWS-certified experts, with plans to certify close to 10,000 more professionals over the next three years.
