Latent AI, a pioneer in edge AI solutions, broadened its product portfolio by introducing Latent Assisted Label and an upgraded Latent Ruggedized Toolkit (RTK). These additions complement the Latent Agent platform launched in June and, combined with strategic partnerships with Ditto, Wind River (an Aptiv Company), and Voyager Technologies, provide organizations with end-to-end capabilities for deploying AI in contested, constrained, and disconnected environments from ground-based autonomous systems to orbital platforms.
This development marks a turning point in the edge AI industry. For the first time, organizations can develop, deploy, and manage AI entirely at the edge, moving beyond fragmented point solutions and eliminating the limitations that previously restricted edge AI adoption to pilot programs.

“Since launching Latent Agent in June, we’ve focused on completing our end-to-end edge AI solution,” said Jags Kandasamy, CEO and Co-Founder of Latent AI. “With Latent Assisted Label addressing the data labeling bottleneck and our upgraded Ruggedized Toolkit enabling field-updatable AI, we now provide a full product suite for organizations to develop, deploy, and manage AI at the edge. Our strategic partnerships ensure these capabilities work seamlessly across the most demanding operational scenarios.”
Latent Assisted Label: Solving the Data Bottleneck
Latent Assisted Label accelerates AI development by automating data annotation, a major bottleneck in AI workflows. Selected as a cohort winner in the U.S. Army’s xTech AI Grand Challenge Latent AI’s third xTech achievement this solution reduces human effort by 87-99% while maintaining up to 85% accuracy, making annotation up to 100x faster than traditional methods.
The platform supports real-time field-ready annotation, automates repetitive labeling, flags low-confidence results for expert review, and integrates with FiftyOne as a plugin, with a standalone version coming soon. When combined with RTK, it enables one-click labeling through a no-code interface, streamlining the workflow from data preparation to deployment.
Latent Ruggedized Toolkit (RTK): Adaptive AI in the Field
The upgraded RTK delivers real-time, field-updatable AI, even in network-denied environments. Compatible with tactical servers, wearable computing, and Android or ATAK smartphones, RTK enables rapid one-click deployment for autonomous systems.
“By reducing the fielding time of edge AI to just minutes, our warfighters are more agile and able to rapidly adapt to changing battlefield conditions,” said Sek Chai, CTO of Latent AI. “We are addressing a direct need for more autonomous capabilities, especially for Group 1 and 2 drones. Key features include support for multimodal sensors, zero-shot labeling, and model management, building upon proven innovations from U.S. Army Project Linchpin and U.S. Navy Project Overmatch.”

Latent Agent: The Platform Foundation
Since June 2025, Latent Agent has provided intelligent edge AI automation by eliminating the model-to-hardware guessing game using 12TB of model telemetry data. The introduction of Latent Assisted Label and the upgraded RTK completes the end-to-end edge AI ecosystem.
Strategic Partnerships Enhance Edge AI Capabilities
- Ditto integrates edge AI with peer-to-peer mesh networking for autonomous systems in contested environments.
- Wind River combines Latent AI’s LEIP platform with VxWorks, Wind River Linux, and eLxr Pro, enabling AI in aerospace and defense-certified systems.
- Voyager Technologies extends Latent AI’s capabilities to orbital environments, supporting real-time intelligence where cloud solutions cannot operate.
With these advancements, defense, aerospace, and critical infrastructure organizations now have access to a complete edge AI solution, spanning automated data labeling, field deployment, and intelligent management from ground-based platforms to orbital operations.
