The KDC8 Software Decoder is a cost-effective solution that transforms a smart device’s built-in camera into a high-quality barcode scanner, powered by Honeywell SwiftDecoder technology. Designed for scalability, it supports businesses of all sizes with flexible licensing options and integrates seamlessly into KTSync and the Unified KOAMTAC SDK. With the newly added data wedge feature, Android users can seamlessly broadcast scanned barcode data directly to any Android, iOS, or Windows application. This streamlined integration removes the need for additional hardware barcode scanners, allowing barcode data to flow effortlessly into existing applications on Android, iOS, and Windows devices.
The new augmented reality function enhances operational insights by allowing users to scan barcodes and visualize product details—including images and stock levels—directly on their smartphone screens through the KTSync application. This AR capability simplifies inventory management, improves accuracy, and enables businesses to make informed decisions in real time. The feature is currently only available as a demo with a planned future release in 2025.
