Information Services Group (ISG), a leading AI-focused technology research and advisory firm, announced that it has acquired the AI Maturity Index, a SaaS platform designed to help organizations evaluate the AI readiness of their workforce and enhance employees’ ability to utilize AI technologies effectively.

“The AI Maturity Index provides us with a high-impact, scalable entry point into every client’s AI journey,” said Michael P. Connors, chairman and CEO of ISG. “Clients will benefit from the insights and actionable data provided by this platform, which also reinforces our core strengths in data-driven research and advisory.”

This acquisition marks a key step in ISG’s broader AI acceleration strategy, which includes the creation of an AI Acceleration Unit and the upcoming launch of a proprietary AI-powered insights platform. These initiatives aim to provide clients with expert-led guidance to rapidly scale AI across their organizations while gaining real-time access to ISG’s data and analysis.

Developed last year, the AI Maturity Index enables companies to assess, quantify, and benchmark employee readiness for AI adoption, while offering actionable recommendations for improvement. The platform, co-founded by Eryn Peters, a certified change management professional and founder of the Startup Consortium, and Iwo Szapar, a remote work infrastructure pioneer, has already assessed over 6,000 individual AI users and collected more than 400,000 data points metrics expected to grow as adoption increases.

“The AI transformation market is surging, with investments outpacing organizations’ ability to broadly adopt and scale this game-changing technology,” Peters said. “Research shows that 92 percent of companies are increasing their AI investment, but only 1 percent consider themselves AI-mature. Our AI maturity assessment platform allows companies to identify gaps in their workforce readiness and use a data-driven approach to achieve rapid improvement.”

ISG’s AI Acceleration Unit, led by Chief AI Officer Steve Hall, will unify expertise from across the firm to enhance AI advisory services. The unit will guide clients in assessing AI maturity, defining strategy, managing provider ecosystems, and ensuring maximum adoption to drive ROI.

“Our new AI Acceleration Unit is comprised of an elite group of ISG leaders in the vanguard of developing and instituting our expert-led approach to AI adoption and value creation,” Connors said. “This unit is charged with delivering the full benefits of AI for our clients and our firm.”

Additionally, ISG plans to launch a proprietary AI-powered intelligence advisor in the first quarter of 2026. The platform will provide clients with instant access to ISG’s extensive technology data and analysis, helping them make informed decisions on software and service providers.

ISG’s strong performance was recognized by Nasdaq, which ranked the firm among the top 8 percent of IT companies under $1 billion in market capitalization for 2025, with shares appreciating 78 percent. “We continue to work with our clients to reimagine how they can enhance their operations with technology and leverage AI, creating value for them and for our shareholders,” Connors added.
