Krish Vitaldevara, Chief Product Officer at Informatica, emphasized the importance of this milestone, stating, “Our collaboration with Microsoft brings the best of Microsoft Foundry and enterprise-grade data management together. By integrating our CLAIRE AI engine and IDMC services with Foundry, we help customers build AI agents and applications with confidence, compliance and speed. This is a major leap forward in realizing the true promise of AI in the enterprise.”
Key Innovations Announced at Ignite 2025
1. Informatica MCP Server for Foundry Agent Service
To begin with, Informatica introduced a new MCP Server integration that allows AI agents built within Microsoft Foundry to directly access trusted data from IDMC using the industry-standard Model Context Protocol (MCP). As a result, agents can securely tap into Informatica’s Cloud Data Governance and Catalog, Data Quality, and Master Data Management services in near real time.
2. New GenAI Recipes and Agentic Blueprints for Foundry
Furthermore, the company launched a new agentic blueprint and a library of pre-built GenAI recipes to help enterprises accelerate the creation of AI-driven applications on Foundry. These include Simple React Agent, Agent with Multifunction Calling, and industry-focused recipes tailored for use cases such as loan processing and automobile insurance claims. By leveraging these assets, organizations can speed up configuration, orchestration, and deployment of their enterprise GenAI solutions.
3. CLAIRE AI Engine Expansion with Foundry
In addition, Informatica expanded its CLAIRE AI engine to integrate natively with Foundry. This move enhances advanced reasoning and automation across key data services including data integration, governance, quality, and MDM. CLAIRE is now available across Microsoft Azure regions in both the U.S. and Europe, supporting compliance needs while enabling organizations to process data locally.
