InCountry, a leading provider of data protection solutions at the intersection of AI, identity, and sovereignty, has secured $10 million in funding to accelerate the global rollout of its newly launched AgentCloak platform. Arbor Ventures led the funding round, joined by Caffeinated Ventures and new investor Accelerator Ventures. The investment will fuel the company’s mission to advance next-generation AI agent data protection worldwide.

As artificial intelligence continues to reshape industries, prioritizing data privacy, trust, and regulatory compliance has become essential. InCountry addresses these challenges with AgentCloak, which employs sophisticated AI to deliver innovative data protection while ensuring compliance with global regulations.

AgentCloak generalizes sensitive data to safeguard privacy and meet compliance requirements. The system can automatically cloak names, addresses, and account numbers, while also transforming context-specific data—turning “headache” into “minor neurological condition,” “Berlin” into “EU,” or converting a specific age, such as “32,” into a broader “30-39” bracket. This capability ensures sensitive information remains protected without compromising the usability of AI systems.

Beyond generalization, AgentCloak can identify separate individuals within complex interactions. For instance, it recognizes distinctions in statements like “I’m writing about my father’s test results,” supporting robust data minimization. Additionally, AgentCloak leverages Sovereign AI models trained on local names, addresses, and vernacular to detect sensitive data, including medical terms, within individual countries. The platform integrates InCountry’s proven digital twin technology to securely cloak data while maintaining operational efficiency.

AgentCloak enables AI agents to function seamlessly across borders while adhering to stringent regulations, including the EU AI Act, China’s PIPL, and Saudi Arabia’s PDPL. Organizations can deploy the technology as an MCP Server, MCP Proxy, or A2A Proxy, training agents using cloaked digital twins and unlocking data securely through identity-based authorization.

“As AI is posed to revolutionize industries, prioritizing data privacy, trust, and compliance is critical,” said Peter Yared, Founder and CEO of InCountry. “We’ve been collaborating on AgentCloak for over a year with our customers and partners, and we’re excited to launch general availability and support businesses with compliant AI agent deployments within countries and across borders.”

The fresh funding will accelerate research and development, strengthen strategic partnerships, and expand InCountry’s global footprint. Its position as a trusted partner to enterprises and government regulatory bodies positions AgentCloak for wide-reaching adoption.

“We’re thrilled to back InCountry’s vision for global AI data protection,” said Melissa Guzy, General Partner at Arbor Ventures. “AgentCloak’s AI-powered data generalization and secure digital twin technology will help enterprises protect their customer data within countries and across borders.”
