Evernote has officially rolled out version 11 (v11), marking its first major product update in five years and signaling a new chapter in the platform’s evolution. With this release, Evernote introduces three advanced AI-driven capabilities AI Assistant, Semantic Search, and AI Meeting Notes designed to make capturing, organizing, and retrieving information significantly smarter and more efficient. Notably, these AI features are now available to all Evernote customers, expanding access to intelligent productivity tools across the user base.
After two years of focused development, v11 reflects the steady transformation of Evernote under the stewardship of Bending Spoons. Since 2024, the company has delivered more than 250 new features and enhancements, while also strengthening core performance areas such as synchronization, speed, and reliability. At the core of v11 are its three new AI features, each built to enhance existing workflows while adapting to individual working styles. First, AI Assistant, developed in close collaboration with OpenAI, introduces conversational intelligence directly into Evernote. Through a dedicated chat interface, users can summarize notes, uncover relevant details, and even search the web for insights, allowing them to complete everyday tasks faster and with greater clarity.
Meanwhile, Semantic Search delivers a more intuitive way to find information. Instead of relying on exact keyword matches, users can now search using natural language. Consequently, important notes and contextual details surface more quickly, helping users access what they need without friction.
In addition, AI Meeting Notes streamlines meeting documentation by recording, transcribing, and summarizing both in-person and virtual discussions. With support for multiple speakers and automatic action-item summaries, this feature enables users to stay focused during meetings and easily revisit critical information afterward.
