EdgeConneX, a global leader in Build-to-Suit and Build-to-Density data center solutions, has announced a major infrastructure expansion in collaboration with Lambda, the Superintelligence Cloud. Together, they are constructing over 30 megawatts (MW) of cutting-edge high-density data center capacity over Chicago and Atlanta. By integrating hybrid cooling technologies that combine liquid-to-the-chip direct cooling with traditional air cooling, the project creates an optimized environment designed to handle demanding AI and cloud workloads efficiently.
In Chicago, EdgeConneX is developing a single-tenant, build-to-density 23MW data center, expected to be Ready for Service (RFS) in 2026. At the same time, the company already manages and operates two air-cooled sites for Lambda ATL02 in Atlanta and a similar facility in Chicago. This dual-city infrastructure represents a strategic step in Lambda’s ambitious growth plan to deploy over a million GPUs by the end of the decade, supporting its 2GW+ vision for AI infrastructure.
