Cerebras Systems, the company behind the world’s fastest AI infrastructure, has officially introduced “Cerebras for Nations,” a global initiative designed to help governments worldwide develop, accelerate, and scale their sovereign AI programs.

Through this strategic program, Cerebras will collaborate with international governments and their private sector ecosystems including data centers, cloud providers, and AI developers to strengthen three critical pillars of sovereign AI advancement.

Firstly, the company will co-design and build world-class AI supercomputers. Powered by its groundbreaking third-generation Wafer-Scale Engine (WSE-3) chips and CS-3 systems, these supercomputers offer unmatched generative AI inference and training speeds. By enabling “GPU-impossible” inference speeds for applications such as reasoning, voice, and agentic workflows, Cerebras empowers nations to securely train domain-specific and language-focused AI models in a fraction of the time traditional GPU clusters require. Governments can deploy these systems on-premises or access them securely via the cloud.

Secondly, the initiative will co-develop state-of-the-art AI models in partnership with local governments and industries. Dedicated teams from Cerebras’ world-class AI research division will collaborate with national project teams to create, optimize, and deploy high-performing AI models for science, industry, and society. This partnership ensures faster model development, enhanced accuracy, and full data ownership for host institutions. Notably, Cerebras and its partners have already delivered models such as Jais (Arabic-English-code), Nanda (Hindi), SHERKALA (Kazakh), FLOR (Spanish-Catalan-English), and Med42 (clinical healthcare) all achieving state-of-the-art performance benchmarks.

Lastly, Cerebras for Nations will invest locally to support education, workforce development, and national AI policies. Beyond building infrastructure, the program aims to foster local innovation through academic outreach, training initiatives, and industry collaboration.

“We are thrilled to announce the launch of Cerebras for Nations, expanding access to AI compute and adding partnerships to accelerate AI for science and society around the world,” said Andy Hock, Chief Strategy Officer, Cerebras. “This initiative emerges from the extraordinary work we’ve done for years with the U.S. government, in the UK, and with our strategic partners G42 in the UAE. We look forward to expanding those partnerships and adding many more.”

Echoing this sentiment, Kanishka Narayan, AI Minister of the UK, added, “Today’s announcement puts the UK at the heart of Cerebras’ global plans, a clear vote of confidence in our ability to harness AI to create jobs, transform the economy, and modernise public services.”

Cerebras emphasized its commitment to promoting U.S. technology trade and global AI collaboration, aligning with initiatives such as the US-UK Tech Prosperity Deal. The program is already active in the U.S., UK, and UAE, with plans to expand across India, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the Americas.
