Sheila Rohra is the Chief Executive Officer of Hitachi Vantara, where she leads the company’s global strategy to accelerate customer growth through innovation and a customer-first mindset. Since joining the company in 2023—first as Chief Strategy Officer, then as President of the data infrastructure business—she has sharpened Hitachi Vantara’s strategic focus and advanced innovation in data infrastructure, hybrid cloud, and artificial intelligence. With more than 20 years of leadership in the high-tech industry, Sheila is known for driving transformation across multi-billion-dollar organizations. Before Hitachi Vantara, she was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Data Infrastructure at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). She also spent a decade at NetApp as SVP of Customer Success and Chief Transformation Officer, where she led an initiative that improved operating margins from 7% to over 20% in three years—highlighted in a Stanford Business School case study. Earlier, she held key leadership roles at Cisco and Bay Networks. Sheila lives in the Bay Area and serves on the University of Maryland’s Women in Engineering (WIE) board. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, painting, and cooking with her family.
