Sergei Ivanov is the Metallics Business Technology Director at EMD Electronics, the Electronics business of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany. In this role, Sergei leads a global R&D team focused on developing novel precursors for deposition of thin films used in semiconductor devices. He has more than 25 years of industrial experience developing new products for applications in catalysis, lithium-ion batteries, fuel cells and semiconductor devices. Sergei has published more than 25 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and is a co-inventor on more than 35 granted U.S. patents. Sergei earned a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from the Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology.
