Amplitude, Inc., a leading digital analytics platform, has partnered with GitHub to launch an innovative agent-to-agent integration designed for enterprise product and engineering teams. This collaboration marks a major step toward unifying product insights and code implementation through AI-powered workflows.

The new integration allows Amplitude to function as an agentic product manager, seamlessly connecting data-driven insights to actionable engineering processes. By leveraging GitHub agents and automated workflows, Amplitude significantly reduces the time and effort required for software development and iteration. Consequently, teams can now move from insights to impact faster and with greater efficiency.

Through this collaboration, Amplitude and GitHub aim to revolutionize how product and engineering teams operate together. The integration introduces a more intelligent and streamlined workflow that helps teams:

Identify High-Impact Opportunities Using Real User Data: With Amplitude’s robust analytics, organizations can uncover what resonates with users and what needs improvement. This direct insight into user engagement allows teams to prioritize tasks that deliver measurable results rather than relying on assumptions.

Focus on Strategic Work Instead of Repetitive Tasks: The integration eliminates the need for manual ticket-writing and constant context switching. Teams can automatically generate detailed, data-backed product requirements straight from Amplitude insights, freeing up time for higher-level strategy and innovation.

Turn Insights Into Actionable Code with GitHub Copilot: GitHub Copilot’s coding agent seamlessly takes over from product requirement documents (PRDs), helping engineers open pull requests and initiate development quickly. This ensures that teams maintain alignment with user needs while accelerating time-to-market.

Learn and Improve from Every Release: Post-release, teams can track how users interact with new features through Amplitude. These insights inform the roadmap, enabling smarter, more effective iterations with each release.

“Product and engineering teams move fastest when they’re aligned around real-time data and a shared understanding of customer needs,” said Spenser Skates, CEO and co-founder of Amplitude. “By bringing Amplitude and GitHub agents together, companies can now build the right products and ship them faster.”

“AI is reshaping how software is built, and the future lies in agents that can understand context and take action,” added Mario Rodriguez, Chief Product Officer at GitHub. “By bringing business context directly into the developer workflow, we’re making it possible for developers and organizations to build at the speed of their ideas with their agents, enabling better decisions and faster outcomes.”

Furthermore, Amplitude has introduced a Feature Experimentation Custom Agent in collaboration with GitHub. This specialized version of the GitHub Copilot Coding Agent includes Amplitude-specific prompts and MCP tools, enabling users to query product insights, manage feature flags, add new instrumentation, and run automated experiments on new features.

The integration and custom agent are both powered by the Model Context Protocol (MCP) an open standard for embedding context into AI systems. With MCP, Amplitude delivers real-time product and customer data directly into GitHub Copilot workflows. This setup enables AI agents to collaborate seamlessly and make intelligent, data-driven decisions without manual tool switching. Notably, Amplitude’s MCP Server is also listed on GitHub’s newly launched MCP Registry, reinforcing its commitment to open, interoperable AI ecosystems.
