GoDaddy has announced a new integration with Salesforce’s MuleSoft Agent Fabric, aiming to help businesses securely discover AI agents and verify their identities before granting access to sensitive systems. As AI adoption accelerates across industries, this move addresses a growing concern: how to prevent unauthorized or rogue agents from interacting with enterprise data.
Increasingly, organizations deploy AI agents across multiple departments and digital platforms. However, many still lack a standardized method to confirm an agent’s origin, publisher, and trust status. As a result, companies often face a difficult decision. On one hand, they can slow their agentic AI initiatives to minimize risk. On the other hand, they can move forward quickly but expose themselves to potential security gaps. At the center of this development is GoDaddy’s Agent Name Service (ANS). The service registers AI agents and publishes them to the public Domain Name System (DNS), which serves as the global directory powering the internet. By extending DNS capabilities to AI agent registration, ANS ensures that once an agent is registered, it becomes discoverable worldwide within seconds. More importantly, each registered agent carries a verified identity linked directly to the owner’s domain name.
Because ANS relies on standard DNS queries, other systems and agents can verify identities without requiring specialized tools or exclusive access. Consequently, businesses gain a scalable and open method for agent authentication.
Through the integration, MuleSoft customers can configure GoDaddy ANS as a trusted source for agent discovery. MuleSoft’s Agent Scanners automatically pull verified agents from ANS into the MuleSoft Agent Registry. From there, teams review and approve agents before granting them access to enterprise APIs and data. Additionally, organizations can view each agent’s verification status, examine publisher details, access cryptographic proof of identity, and define granular policies governing data and API access.
