Qlik, a global leader in data integration, analytics, and AI, officially launched its agentic experience in Qlik Cloud, accessible via Qlik Answers, the platform’s unified conversational interface. Simultaneously, Qlik announced the general availability of its Qlik Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, which allows third-party AI assistants, including Anthropic Claude, to securely leverage Qlik’s analytical engine and trusted data products.

As enterprises increasingly move beyond proofs of concept into full-scale deployments, they face higher expectations around trust, context, and accountability. Teams now require systems capable of working across structured analytics and unstructured content, preserving business logic, and transparently showing how conclusions are drawn. Qlik’s agentic experience directly addresses this need by combining AI reasoning with context-preserving calculations, governed data, and explainable responses, supporting real-world decision workflows.

Within Qlik Cloud, the agentic experience introduces four key capabilities. First, Qlik Answers turns questions into governed, explainable insights, delivering responses backed by the Qlik Analytics Engine and curated documentation, complete with citations and reasoning explanations. Second, the Discovery Agent proactively identifies material changes, monitoring critical metrics and surfacing anomalies so teams can act before risks escalate or opportunities are missed. Third, Data Products for Analytics make curated, governed datasets reusable, providing quality signals that create a reliable foundation for both AI and human analysis. Finally, the MCP server extends Qlik’s intelligence to existing tools, enabling third-party assistants to securely generate insights and operate on governed data through Qlik APIs.

“In 2026, boards are navigating geopolitical volatility, tightening AI rules, and relentless cost pressure. That changes what enterprise AI has to be: auditable, governed, and able to act inside real workflows,” said Mike Capone, CEO, Qlik. “Qlik’s agentic experience pairs our unique analytics engine with trusted data products and cited knowledge, and our MCP server opens that intelligence to the assistants people already use. The result is faster decisions with controls you can defend.”

Qlik’s approach ensures enterprises can scale AI adoption without sacrificing governance. By preserving context during calculations, the Qlik Analytics Engine enables accurate reasoning over enterprise data, outperforming approaches that isolate queries. Coupled with curated knowledge and governed data products, Qlik offers a practical path for traceable, accountable AI decision-making.

“AI delivers value when it’s built on data that’s already curated, governed and trusted,” said Mike Krut, Senior VP of IT, Penske Transportation Solutions. “Qlik’s new agentic capabilities extend analytics our teams already use, helping connect insights directly to operational workflows like fleet performance and maintenance, without adding complexity.”

“The move from copilots to reasoning systems exposes a critical gap in governed context and explainability for many enterprises,” said Michael Leone, Practice Director and Principal Analytics and AI Analyst, Omdia. “Success now requires connecting trusted data directly to operational workflows with full auditability. Qlik is addressing this by pairing its analytics engine with MCP, effectively establishing the intelligence layer that agents and assistants need to operate across ecosystems.”

Looking ahead, Qlik plans to expand its agentic strategy across data pipelines, quality, and stewardship, supporting additional AI tools and assistants through MCP. Enterprises can also procure Qlik via AWS Marketplace, streamlining acquisition under existing agreements and further accelerating AI adoption.
