To address this challenge, Board designed Board Agents specifically for real-world planning scenarios. Notably, this marks the first enterprise planning capability from Board developed using Microsoft Foundry, signaling a deeper integration of AI into its core planning engine rather than a surface-level enhancement.

Initially, the company is rolling out FP&A and Controller Agents tailored for the Office of Finance. Shortly after, Merchandiser and Supply Chain Agents are expected to follow. Because these agents are built natively into the Board Enterprise Planning Platform, they operate within a secure and governed environment. As a result, organizations can confidently apply agentic AI to high-impact planning use cases without compromising data integrity or governance.

When combined with Board Foresight, the agents also enhance forecasting and scenario planning capabilities, helping teams evaluate trade-offs, model outcomes, and better understand external market influences.

The FP&A and Controller Agents will be available globally starting March 31, 2026, including via the Microsoft Marketplace, while Merchandiser and Supply Chain Agents are expected to follow soon after, further expanding Board’s AI-driven planning ecosystem.
