Edgecore Networks, a wholly owned subsidiary of Accton Technology, has announced a strategic collaboration with Synaptics to push the boundaries of scalable Edge AI and AIoT platforms. Known for delivering innovative networking solutions to enterprises, data centers, and telecommunication service providers, Edgecore is partnering with Synaptics to address the growing demand for intelligent, cloud-connected edge infrastructure across real-world environments.

As part of this collaboration, the two companies will jointly unveil a next-generation AIoT Edge Hub featuring Wi-Fi HaLow at CES 2026, taking place from January 6 to 9. The solution will be showcased at Synaptics’ private technology showcase, highlighting how advanced edge intelligence and long-range connectivity can work together to support diverse operational needs.

At the core of the AIoT Edge Hub is Synaptics’ Astra SL1620 embedded IoT processor, which delivers powerful Edge AI processing capabilities. In parallel, the platform integrates multi-protocol wireless connectivity through the Synaptics Veros SYN4612 triple-combo solution, supporting Wi-Fi, Bluetooth/BLE, and IEEE 802.15.4 technologies such as Thread and Zigbee. Moreover, the inclusion of Wi-Fi HaLow, powered by Morse Micro, enables reliable, low-power, long-range communication, making the hub suitable for challenging and remote environments.

Importantly, the platform acts as an intelligent orchestration layer between cloud services and edge devices. It connects seamlessly to AWS using AWS IoT Device Management and Managed Integrations, allowing streamlined onboarding and centralized control of AWS-certified local IoT devices. As a result, organizations can support long-distance video streaming and collect edge data from remote cameras and sensors more efficiently.

Commenting on the collaboration, Teng Tai Hsu, Vice President at Edgecore Networks, said, “Edge AI and AIoT succeed when edge platforms are designed to scale and operate effectively across real-world environments, while integrating seamlessly with cloud services, reflecting our collaboration with Synaptics to build open, scalable platforms that enable confident deployment of intelligent services.”

Meanwhile, Synaptics emphasized the importance of edge processing as AI workloads increasingly move beyond centralized data centers. John Weil, VP & GM, Edge IoT Processors at Synaptics, stated, “As AI workloads move into real-world environments, Edge processing becomes essential for delivering on-device intelligence with the speed, reliability, and scalability customers expect.” He further added, “With our Astra AI-native embedded IoT processors, we’re providing Edge AI capabilities that reduce latency, optimize bandwidth, and allow decisions to be made closer to where data is generated. Our collaboration with Edgecore brings together advanced Edge processing, robust connectivity, and open development platforms to help customers deploy AIoT solutions confidently and at scale across diverse environments.”

Beyond the initial showcase, both companies see strong opportunities to expand Edge AI and AIoT deployments into verticals such as property and facility management, retail, and commercial space management. Given Edgecore’s established presence across ISP, MSP, and telecom service provider markets, the partnership is well positioned to address these growing segments.

Looking ahead, Edgecore and Synaptics plan to deepen their collaboration across Edge AI architectures, AIoT platforms, and high-speed connectivity technologies. By working closely with cloud providers, network operators, and ecosystem partners, they aim to accelerate the adoption of scalable, cloud-connected edge intelligence worldwide.
