Boomi, the leader in AI-driven automation, announced that global public service provider Serco is leveraging the Boomi Enterprise Platform to enable rapid innovation through generative AI, accelerate collaboration development, and empower responsible business users to quickly build the underlying collaborations.

Serco, which primarily serves governments around the world, provides defense, healthcare, justice, and community services in the Asia Pacific region. As part of its efforts to modernize its operations in the Asia Pacific region, Serco adopted Boomi to streamline data flows, strengthen master data management, and simplify API connectivity. Boomi was selected for its low-code ease of use, speed of development, and ease of monitoring and building integrations.

Following the event, Serco quickly mobilized its integration team to test and deploy Boomi’s AI agent, which uses natural language prompts to help users design and deploy integrations faster.

Boomi Scribe was implemented as the foundation for collaborative documentation, providing clear, easy-to-understand documentation of the mechanics behind specific interfaces, while Boomi DesignGen enabled smooth communication between teams through visuals, building trust with stakeholders.

Kiran explains: “What previously took our integration developers two to three hours to put together documentation in a format that customers can understand now takes just 10 to 15 minutes with Boomi Scribe.”

Serco recently completed two large-scale collaboration projects and significantly reduced the time required for documentation, including meetings, discussions, and paperwork. This process previously took 40-60 hours, but with the help of Boomi AI agents, it now averages 6-12 hours.

The deployment of these tools comes on the heels of Serco Asia Pacific migrating from a self-hosted Boomi runtime cluster to the Boomi Managed Cloud Service (MCS). Serco is also planning to launch Boomi Event Streams for real-time data flow and alerting. Currently, Serco is focusing on leveraging Boomi AI agents through Boomi Agentstudio .
