FS, a globally recognized provider of ICT products and solutions, has launched its own DCS-W Series All-Optical Circuit Switch, developed entirely in-house. With the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence (AI), high-performance computing (HPC), and machine learning clusters, the company designed this new series to meet the industry’s escalating demand for faster, smarter, and more efficient networks.
At its core, the DCS-W Series combines a fully non-blocking optical matrix switch architecture with an intuitive Web GUI management system. This powerful combination allows networks to move far beyond basic connectivity and shift toward intelligent, programmable control.

Unlike traditional OEO (optical-electrical-optical) devices, the DCS-W Series skips unnecessary signal conversions, making the process faster and more efficient. As a result, it ensures protocol- and rate-transparent transmission while delivering ultra-low latency, outstanding energy efficiency, and scalability. The switch is available in matrix sizes of 8×8, 16×16, and 32×32, making it suitable for diverse applications from lab environments to massive AI training clusters, GPU interconnects, and demanding HPC workloads.
All-Optical Design for Reliable Multi-Service Data Transmission
The product’s non-blocking, all-optical architecture enables true any-to-any port connectivity. Consequently, organizations benefit from smooth traffic scheduling and congestion-free communication, even within large and dynamic topologies.
Transparent Transmission and Scalable Future-Readiness
Supporting data rates from 1G up to 800G and even future 1.6T the DCS-W Series seamlessly integrates with Ethernet, OTN, SDH, Fibre Channel, and other major protocols. By removing the need for protocol adaptation or frequent hardware upgrades, the switch minimizes long-term operational costs and simplifies scalability.

Real-Time Monitoring with Built-in OPD
Another standout feature is the built-in Optical Power Detection (OPD). This function continuously monitors port signal strength, allowing teams to identify attenuation or fiber breaks immediately. As a result, troubleshooting and repair times are drastically reduced.
Simplified Operations with Web GUI Management
FS has also prioritized ease of use. Through a browser-based Web GUI, operators can access visual port status and alarm information at a glance. Moreover, configuration and diagnostics are handled without complex CLI commands, speeding up deployment and lowering operational complexity.
Highlighting the company’s vision, Bener Peng, Product R&D Manager of FS, stated: “The DCS-W Series reflects FS’s commitment to intelligent, reconfigurable optical networks. It enables programmable, flexible topologies for data centers and AI/HPC clusters, enhancing existing networks or building streamlined architectures, while reducing power, cost, hardware complexity, and latency, and improving overall network availability.”
Initially, FS has launched the DCS-W Series as a single-mode MEMS-based OCS. However, the company plans to expand the product line further by introducing multimode and fully customizable solutions to meet evolving customer needs.
