ROVR, a leader in decentralized physical infrastructure networks (DePIN), will unveil a major new development at the ADAS & Autonomous Vehicle Technology Summit North America. The company will officially introduce the ROVR Open Dataset, a high-resolution, multi-modal resource designed to fuel advancements in Spatial AI, autonomous driving, robotics, and digital twin applications.
Unlike traditional datasets, the ROVR Open Dataset delivers an extensive range of real-world sensor inputs. It includes LiDAR point clouds, high-resolution video, IMU motion data, and centimeter-level RTK positioning. This rich collection comes directly from ROVR’s proprietary hardware, powered by a global contributor network. The initial release already offers 1,300 synchronized clips (totaling 1TB), which capture driving scenarios across urban, suburban, and highway environments. These clips highlight challenging conditions such as construction areas, school crossings, and heavy traffic, ensuring a diverse dataset for researchers. Importantly, all the data has been carefully anonymized to safeguard privacy.

In its first phase, the dataset will be available for non-commercial use under a permissive license. However, ROVR plans to expand future releases with full-length sequences, detailed annotations, and commercial licensing options to meet broader industry needs. Already, ROVR’s community-powered network has mapped over 25 million kilometers of roads and deployed more than 2,000 devices globally. This achievement underscores the company’s scale and its commitment to crowdsourced innovation.
